Read our story…

In 2008, Judy and Paul made the picturesque town of Bellingen their home. They fell in love with the vibrant landscape and rich artistic community, purchasing land where they built their dream house in 2014. A decade later, in 2024, they seized the opportunity to acquire the charming framing gallery that now serves as the heart of their artistic endeavours.

As the new owners of this framing and gallery space, Judy and Paul are committed to transforming the gallery into a vibrant hub that supports and showcases the talents of local artists and craftspeople. They envision a dynamic art space that not only highlights the creativity of Bellingen but also becomes well-known throughout New South Wales as a beacon of local artistry. Their goal is to create an environment where artists can thrive, collaborate, and connect with the community, fostering a rich cultural dialogue that uplifts everyone involved.

Before establishing Bellingen Gallery & Framing Studio, Paul and Judy operated a beloved cottage industry known as the Farwest Store in Carinda. This venture allowed them to support local artists and craftspeople, fostering a sense of community and creativity that continues to thrive in their current gallery. Their dedication to promoting and selling local art remains a core value, as they actively seek to empower and uplift the talents of fellow artisans.
